Manchester United’s interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted.
He was delighted to lead the Red Devils to a 5-2 Carabao Cup rout at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
“I have to give credit to the players, they were excellent today. They finished very well. I couldn’t ask for more. Against West Ham and Fenerbahce we created a lot. But we couldn’t finish,” Van Nistelrooy said.
“We had some luck in the game and that made it a great night. I think it’s always our goal to respond and try to attack. The reaction of the players after Leicester scored was great and they deserve credit. I’m glad the fans went home happy.”
Meanwhile, Van Nistelrooy admitt there mix emotions in taking over from former coach Erik ten Hag, saying:
